Hallmarque Scheme

The History

Stone Federation commenced the formulation of the Hallmarque Scheme in 2001 to promote the highest standards in the natural stone industry through the accrediting of natural stone companies.

The concept is actively supported by professional bodies and clients alike.

Stone Federation commenced the accreditation process of all its members in March 2006 and the process is ongoing.

It aims to protect the client by providing them with hallmarqued companies who are proved to be competent at all levels.  The Hallmarque Scheme recognises companies who demonstrate compliance with the high standards demanded by the scheme which will ensure a high level of health and safety awareness and a fully trained, competant workforce.

What are the standards that have to be met in order to be hallmarqued?

Companies have to meet the criteria of the scheme which sets high standards in safety, training, technical competence, sound financial history and have all the correct insurances in place.
