Boden and Ward Stonemasons Ltd have masons and stone carvers, highly
experienced in all aspects of stone repair, cleaning and restoration. Work undertaken ranges from the supply of sawn and worked stone to restoration of parish churches and large scale projects. The company also supplies and fixes new stonework and offers a consultancy service.
Stone restoration and carving
The company is able to reproduce ornamental and structural stonework where replacement is required. Original detailing is faithfully recorded on site and the project is then set out to full size before moulds and sections are prepared. Carved details are normally reproduced from drawings based on evidence of the original feature, or from archive material if the work is decayed beyond recognition.
Awards
Boden and Ward have won awards at the last two Natural Stone Award Events held by The Stone Federation of Great Britain. One for the restoration of the Central Pavilion at Wobum Abbey and the other for a project on Ringshall Lodge, Little Gaddesden in Hertfordshire.
