HOW TO USE THE GUIDE

Introduction - Search Help

To assist you select our Members, we have the following search facilities:

1.    Member List

If you know the members name, select the member from this list, click on the view link to view a profile for this member and in many instances, photographs of projects that the member has undertaken.

2.    Speciality

If you want to find which of our members specialises in a particular aspect of stone work, work with a particular stone, work in a particular area, based in a particular area or a combination of these Search Criteria use this option.

To find members select the Search criteria you require either by clicking in the box next to Speciality, Work Areas or Stone and/or selecting a criteria from the dropdown boxes under Member location and then click on Search.

Members that meet with ALL the Search Criteria you have selected will then be listed.  View link to view a profile for this member and in many instances, photographs of projects that the member has undertaken.

If no members meet with your selected criteria consider broadening.

Examples of using this facility are:

    1.     If you want to find members who specialise in floors, work with marble and are 
            located in the South East, select Flooring from Speciality, Marble from Stone 
            and South East from Region and then click on Select.

    2.     If you want to find members who specialise in floors and bathrooms, work with 
            marble, are located in London and also undertake work in Scotland, select 
            Flooring and Bathrooms from Speciality, Marble from Stone, Scotland from 
            Work Areas and London from Town and then click on Select.

If you want to change, or make a mistake with your criteria selection, just click on the Clear button.

3.    Location

If you want to find a Member by where they are located, use this option.

Click on the Region, on the UK map that you are interested in.  That Region will then be shown with dots showing where our members are located in that region.

Moving your mouse over one of the dots will highlight the town on from the list.  Clicking on the selected town will show which members are located in that town.

By clicking on a member listed, the profile for this member and in many instances, photographs of projects that the member has undertaken.


MEMBER TYPE 

FULL

Quarries and contractors covering all aspects of the natural stone industry including, fixing, design, masonry, landscaping, cleaning, restoration, conservation and interiors.

ASSOCIATES

Consultants who provide technical, design, training, testing, geological or quarry advice to the natural stone industry.

SERVICE PROVIDERS/SUPPLIERS

Companies who provide goods and services to members and clients in the industry and support the high standards of quality set by the Federation.

SOLE TRADERS

Undertaking trades/activities in the stone industry such as: fixing, design, restoration, conservation, carving, etc.

INFORMATION MEMBERS

Training establishments and other institutions or organisations who receive and benefit from, an exchange of information with the Federation.
